No rain during our Soo Lake Paddle

The weather was cool but the rain stopped as (9) kayakers ventured out on the final scheduled Thursday Evening paddle of the 2017 season.  We launched from Brumley’s Resort on Soo Lake and paddled to Weimers Dam and around the island.  After the paddle we enjoyed pizza and beverages served up my Norm Gilge.

Today’s Thursday Evening Paddle is a GO!

Looks like the rain is ending so we are planning a 6:00pm Launch from Brumley’s Resort on Soo Lake.  If the rain returns, we will just enjoy pizza and a beverage.

Big Dardis Lake Paddle

It was a perfect evening for a paddle as over (30) people join us on Big Dardis Lake.  Thanks to John and Kathy Wilke for the beverages.  After the paddle a large group stopped at Matt’s Place Bar and Grill and were treated to great food and friendly service.

Elk River Paddle

Over 20 paddlers enjoyed a warm summer evening on the Elk River.  Several had a close up view of a loon while an eagle soared overhead.  We made it back to the landing with the sound of thunder in the distance.

First Thursday Evening Paddle of the Season

16 kayaks and 1 canoe joined us for the first Thursday Evening Paddle of the season.  We launched from the Harbor View Pub and Eatery and headed out  on Long Lake and  thru the culverts under County “W”.  The paddle started under cloudy skies with a few rain drops but cleared up for a great outing.  Afterwards many enjoyed time on the deck at Harbor View and we watched the full moon rise in the sky.
