In conjunction with THE CRAZY LOON, the P.A.T.H. class is hosting a SCHOOL FOREST FALL TRAILS DAY from 1-4pm on Sunday, October 9th.
Our purpose is: To encourage usage of our beautiful school forest by increasing community awareness of, and familiarity with, the trail system and the activities that can be enjoyed there. We will provide information on mt. biking and make various sizes of bikes available for kids & adults to try out. We will also do some stuff with hiking and trail running, like how to use maps to negotiate the trail system confidently.
The P.A.T.H. program, which is a grade 6-12 alternative-style program for students who learn best via hands-on Service Learning activities. The acronym stands for:
P= Partnerships (with school, community, families)
A= Academics (a focus on academic success)
T= Transition (working to transition to employment & post-secondary education)
H= Health (Learning to live healthy lives)
Stop out and see the great trail system these kids and other community volunteers have created. Click the link below for information on the Phillips School Forest, directions and trail maps.
